MARKET OUTLOOK
Buying demand in the afternoon helped the VN-Index break above the 1,800-point level and close at 1,821.32 points, up 29.91 points (+1.67%). Market breadth was positive, with 15 out of 18 sectors advancing. Real Estate posted the strongest gains, followed by Information Technology and Chemicals. In contrast, Automobiles & Parts recorded the steepest decline of the session. Regarding foreign investor activity, foreign investors were net sellers on the HSX while recording net buying on the HNX and UPCoM. The bullish engulfing candlestick, together with trading liquidity remaining above the 20-session average, partly reinforced the market’s recovery trend. However, today’s gains remained heavily dependent on VIC-related stocks. Therefore, stronger and more broadly distributed buying demand is needed for the VN-Index to confirm a return to a short-term uptrend and move toward the 1,860-point area.
