- An Giang Import Export Company (Angimex ) was previously known as An Giang Foreign Trade Company, which was found in 1976 according to Decision No. 73/QD-76 issued by the An Giang Provincial People’s Committee on Jul 23, 1976.
- In 1979: The company changed its name to An Giang Import Export Union Co., located at Long Xuyen town, An Giang province.
- In 1982: It established Ho Chi Minh City delivery station (which is it’s Ho Chi Minh City branch at present).
- 1988: It was renamed to Union of An Giang Import Export Co. and allowed to export directly by the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Affairs
- In 1991: It established Angimex – KITOKU Joint Venture Company
- In 1992: The company changed its name into An Giang Import Export Company.
- In 1998: It established the first authorized dealer of Honda Vietnam.
- In 2000: It established the second authorized dealer of Honda Vietnam.
- In 2004: It established the Centre for Development of Information Technology NIIT – Angimex.
- In 2005: It opened the telephone agent S-Fone – Angimex.
- In 2006: It established the third authorized dealer of Honda Vietnam.
- In 2007: Angimex contributed capital to SAGICO for retail business through supermarket system
- In 2008: Angimex officially transformed into Joint Stock Company. The company established premium rice factory. Chau Phu jasmine rice Chau Phu Jasmine rice appeared in the market through the cooperation between Saigon Co.op and Angimex. It also opened Repair and Maintenance Service Center – Wing service, authorized by Honda and suspended phone business.
- From an initial charter capital of VND 58.285.000.000, in Feb/2011, the company increased it to VND 174.855.000.000 via issuing bonus shares to shareholders.
- In Apr 2011, its charter capital increased to VND 182.000.000.000 đồng via ESOP issuance.
- On Dec 14, 2012, the company’s shares were officially listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange.
