It operates through three segments: Food and Beverage, Animal Protein, and Others. It primarily offers animal protein, as well as soya sauce, fish sauce, chili sauce, instant noodles, instant coffee, instant cereals, and bottled beverages under the Chin-Su, Nam Ngu, Tam Thai Tu, Omachi, Kokomi, Vinacafé, Wake Up, Kachi, and Vinh Hao brands. The company is also involved in packaging, and beer and beverage trading activities. In addition, it explores and develops natural resources, primarily the Nui Phao polymetallic project in Northern Vietnam; processes nonferrous and precious metals; and provides financial services. The company was formerly known as Ma San Group Corporation. Masan Group Corporation is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

- In Nov 2004, Masan Maritime Joint Stock Company (MSC)was established with initial charter capital of VND 3.200.000.000.
