Introduction
Petrolimex Joint Stock Tanker Company (PJTACO) is a Vietnam-based marine transportation company. It provides marine and inland water transportation services of oil and gas products, as well as other shipping services, such as freight forwarding, ship chartering and brokerage services. The Company is also involved in ship building, repairing and cleaning, along with the provision of port services, cargo handling services, vessel supply and navigational services. The Company trades petroleum, liquefied gas, metals and other petrochemicals. Other activities include the repair of offshore stations and the operation of warehouses. It operates as a subsidiary of Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation (Petrolimex).

History
- The precursor of Petrolimex Joint Stock Tanker Company was Petroleum Waterway Transportation Enterprise.
- In 1999, the enterprise was converted to Petroleum Waterway Transportation Joint Stock Company following Decision No. 151/1999/QD-TTG of the Prime Minister. It was a subsidiary of Vietnam National Petroleum Corporation with initial charter capital of VND 13.500.000.000, of which the corporation’s capital accounted for 30%.
- In 2003, charter capital was adjusted to VND 14.596.000.000, of which the corporation’s capital accounted for 35%.
- In 2005, charter capital was adjusted to VND 19.370.000, of which the corporation’s capital accounted for 51,21%.
- In 2006, charter capital was adjusted to VND 35.000.000.000, of which the corporation’s capital accounted for 51,21%.
On Dec 28, 2006, the company’s shares were listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange. - In 2008, charter capital was adjusted to VND 70.000.000.000, of which the corporation’s capital accounted for 51,21%.
- In 2009 its charter capital was adjusted to VND 84 billion.
- In 2013, its charter capital was adjusted to VND 96.599.020.000.
- In 2014, its charter capital was adjusted to VND 108.172.380.000.
